El Patio Courtyard House is a small guesthouse right in the middle of the Old Town of Tunis, the medina. Our guesthouse is located in a lively quarter with a rich history dating back many hundred years. The most famous sights are at less than 100 meters from El Patio Courtyard House. We offer a concept of slow tourism, a unique experience and a cultural trip to the medina of the past and present. A colourful experience during which you will discover, or rediscover, Tunis at your own pace.

El Patio Courtyard House is not only a small guesthouse. It is also a story about personal commitment and profound interest in the ambitious project of conserving the Old Town of Tunis, the medina. By restoring and renovating our house, which dates back to the early 18th century, turning it into a small-scale guesthouse, we want to contribute to the conservation of the Old Town and to the strengthening of the social status of its inhabitants. We support talented individuals and local craftsmen through a number of micro-projects. When you stay at El Patio Courtyard House, you support a social enterprise.

El Patio Courtyard House is situated in an area of the Old Town of Tunis which is very representative of the golden era of the Tunisian capital. El Patio Courtyard House is situated at less than a few hundred meters from the most important sights of the medina: The Ezzitouna Mosque (8th century), Place de la Kasbah with its Bey palaces (17th and 18th century) and of course the famous covered markets, the souks of Tunis. You can easily reach most sights in the medina by foot. It takes only 10 minutes to reach the famous Bardo Museum by taxi. We also recommend a visit by metro to the picturesque Sidi Bou Saïd. The metro station is only 15 minutes by foot from El Patio Courtyard House.
