Baba Huseyin was born and raised on Yesilada Island and is a second generation fisherman with a lot of local knowledge. Baba wants to show his guests Turkish hospitality and culture. Esma Anne was also born and raised on Yesilada island. Together they have been working in the tourism industry, operating Bed and Breakfasts for more than 35 years. Although they don't speak much english they are very friendly and guests are always happy with the service.

At the Peace Pension you are welcomed as an extended part of our Fisherman family and experience Turkish hospitality and traditional island living and atmosphere at its very best. You can enjoy socialising in our beautiful rose-garden courtyard with like-minded travellers. Or, enjoy a little peace and tranquillity under the shade of the grape vines after a cool swim in the beautiful Egirdir lake. The rooms at the Peace Pension are equipped with all linen, including towels. We provide shampoo, slippers and all rooms have there own tea/coffee making facility. Room are air conditioned and have some have private balconies. Our rooms are all super clean.

Neighborhood info

The Peace Pension is on the Island which is walking distance to the city. There are restuarants around the island and many swimming spots. You can rent a rowing boat in the harbour or take a boat tour. A small shop on the island sells all the basic essentials including ice-cream, crisps, milk, biscuits and alcohol. The island is a one-way road which is a pleasant walk. The island has an old stone Greek orthodox church and many old wooden homes. There is a regular dolmus service into the town.
