​Sirince Terrace Houses is a small Anglo-Turkish business, which started in 1999 when our family fell in love with the village. ​Two months after our first visit, we discovered what was to become Grapevine House. It belonged to a local shepherd who had been living in one room in the house, whilst the rest was inhabited by swallows. Downstairs was a windowless abandoned stable which we explored with the help of a box of matches. ​ ​ The restoration began, and without damaging the tangerine trees the house was restored to its former glory. Some mod cons have been added, but every effort has been made to keep the atmosphere of the house. We have backgrounds in teaching and handicrafts and had already restored period apartments in the Genoese heart of the city of Istanbul, Omer's home town. Encouraged by completing Grapevine House, we acquired 2 complete wrecks and started to reconstruct them. These were to become Fig House and Olive House. After 6 years of painstaking restoration, the 3 cottages opened for business and were joined this year by two new suites. Unable to resist the beauty of Sirince, we have now given up city life for good. ​

Sirince Terrace Houses are a group of award-winning boutique holiday cottages in the heart of the Turkish village of Sirince. Up in the hills and just 10 km from Ephesus, it is the perfect base from which to discover the beauty of the Agean region. All houses have bespoke 100% Turkish cotton bedlinens designed by Sally Lovalo. A daily complimentary breakfast of fresh local produce is served at the Terrace Cafe to all our guests, although the houses have their own kitchens. Daily and weekly tariffs are available.
