Chalet Trushnyi is a place where friends become family and family comes home. Трушний (Trushnyi) is a word meaning true, real, authentic — and that's how we keep this house. A real wooden chalet in the real Carpathians: no staged luxury, no rush. Our guest favorite is the Карпатський чан — a wood-fired Carpathian hot tub heated over an open flame, set outdoors with a mountain view. Sitting in it under the snow or stars is the memory most guests take home. We're about 3 km from Bukovel ski resort, tucked into the quiet Urochyshche Podyna valley. Pool in season, BBQ , balcony, fully equipped kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, fireplace evenings. We host personally — transfers, trail tips, and home-cooked Hutsul food the way our grandmothers made it. Around us: skiing at Bukovel in winter; hiking, biking, horse riding in summer. Mount Khomyak, the Prut river, Yaremche and Vorokhta nearby. That's what Трушний means. Welcome.

We're the family behind Chalet Trushnyi. We're not a hotel chain or a faceless management company; this is our home in the mountains, and we share it the way we'd welcome our own friends. Guests often tell us the same things: that we were there when they needed us, that the house felt cared for, and that the home-cooked food made them feel they'd come somewhere real. That's exactly what we're trying to build. We'll meet you on arrival, help with transfers from Ivano-Frankivsk, point you to the trails locals actually walk, and arrange Hutsul cuisine on request. If you want quiet, we leave you to it. If you want stories about the valley, we have plenty. Трушний — true to the place, true to our guests.

Chalet Trushnyi sits in Urochyshche Podyna, a quiet valley in Polyanytsya village, Ivano-Frankivsk region — the heart of the Ukrainian Carpathians. Bukovel ski resort is about 3 km away — close enough for a quick ride to the lifts (Lifts 8, 15, and 22 are all within 4 km), but far enough that the resort noise doesn't reach us. In winter you ski; in summer Bukovel becomes a mountain bike, zipline, and rollercoaster park. For hikers: Mount Khomyak (1,542 m) and Mount Synyak are classic day hikes starting nearby. Trails to Gorgany ridges and waterfalls are within easy reach. Nearby villages worth a day: Yaremche (15 min) for the Probiy waterfall and craft market, Vorokhta for the old Hutsul church and ski jumps, Tatariv for cafes and the Prut river. Activities around the chalet: horse riding, fishing on the Prut, off-road tours to mountain pastures (polonyna), Hutsulland ethno-park, and the Upside Down House for kids. Getting here: Ivano-Frankivsk airport is ~65 km away (we can arrange transfer); Lviv airport ~250 km. The road is paved all the way to the village.
