Welcome to Wycliff’s Eco Resort – Your Home by Lake Bunyonyi
Hi, I’m Wycliff – born and raised here in kaberu, right on the shores of the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi. With love and dedication, I built this guesthouse to offer travelers a peaceful and authentic experience, while also giving back to my community.
Currently, I offer two comfortable rooms with access to a shared living and dining area. The house is surrounded by a lush garden with stunning views of the lake – a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature.
Eco-friendly & locally sourced
I care deeply about the environment. Everything I provide is fresh, local, and mostly grown in my own garden. I follow sustainable practices to ensure a healthy balance with nature.
More than just a place to stay
50% of all income from the guesthouse supports The Helpful Project – a community initiative I started to improve education, health, and development in kaberu and surrounding villages. They support children living with disabilities, elderly people from the community and vulnerable children.

Our neighborhood is a hidden gem, with Lake Bunyonyi offering a serene escape. Enjoy birdwatching from your balcony, fishing with local guides, or paddling a dugout canoe across the calm waters. Explore nearby islands teeming with wildlife, including zebras, antelopes, and more. Take a leisurely nature walk or hike to breathtaking viewpoints, soaking in the panoramic views of the lake. Come and experience the tranquility of Lake Bunyonyi!
We also arrange a short and long term safari, and arrange Gorilla permits for our guests who have interest in Gorilla, chimpanzee and Golden monkeys trekking.
