We are excited to have you and would like to give you some more information: The SINA Village is not just a regular Hotel but integrated and part of a community of Social Entrepreneurs. SINA Village is managed and operated by the nonprofit NGO Social Innovation Academy (SINA). Your stay is contributing to support youth in Uganda in their mission to become changemakers. You can learn how upcycling works, how to create houses from plastic bottles, roofs from car tires, flooring from plastic bags and eggshells, briquettes out of biomass, jewellery from plastic waste, etc. We are welcoming your ideas as well! For as long as you stay, you will be part of our family and we can share and learn from each other. The Academy is located next to the village and you will have the unique chance to interact with, see different innovations happen and be part of the change. Of course, you may also choose to relax in the quiet village! We would like you to be aware that the SINA Village is basic accommodation. Like in all villages in Uganda: showering water is not heated and the electricity can sometimes be out.

SINA Village offers a unique environment to experience an authentic Uganda. We are located on top of a hill with stunning views. Our chill-out area offers nice views for sunrises and on our rooftop you can see the sunset while enjoying a beer. If you are more of an adventurer step out of SINA Village and dive into the SINA community. SINA (social innovation academy) is a unique learning environment where youth create their social and environmental start-ups. Get inspired and join in with the many creative sessions we're hosting. More into nature than people? Also no problem. The surrounding area of SINA invites you for long walks and hikes along the fields and forests. Mpanga Forest is just 8km away, Mbamba swamp where you can find the rare shoebill stork can be reached in just 40min, and many other sights are within reach. We are on top of a beautiful hill in a very peaceful environment! Close by you can find Kampala, Entebbe, Mpanga forest, Mbamba swamp and the equator line. The closest national park (180km distance) is Mburo which offers great wildlife. It can be done during a daytrip.
