Village B & B is a homestay B& B in a Victorian home in the village of Newton Highlands. Newton is on the list of the top 4 safest cities in the U.S. You will find a comfy, homey feeling in the decor, informal and relaxed. We endeavor to provide for guest needs. Shampoo, and bathroom amenities, bathrobes in the rooms, hairdryers, water pitchers, sewing kits, fresh cotton linens and towels. Small fridge and TV's in every room.
Claudia has been hosting guests for 20 years. Greatest joy is watching people at breakfast chatting and finding many things in common, whether that be serving at the same army post 20 years ago, knowledge about a town another guest has a child wanting to attend college in, people they know in common, or just getting to know each other in the moment. Claudia is a retired social worker who is truly interested in her guests, but also refrains from being intrusive. You can have social interaction or privacy, depending on your moods and needs. We also try to accommodate dietary requirements.
Newton is a city of about 85,000 people. Featuring 13 villages or neighborhoods, the Garden City boasts tree lined streets, fine restaurants, and interesting shops. Newton is a tony upscale suburb of Boston with direct access to the City via the MBTA Green D Line, only a 5 minute walk from the Village B & B. So whether you are visiting relatives, here for an event, or focusing on touring Boston and its many colleges, it's a great location accessible to routes 128/95, 9, and the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90). The lovely houses, Crystal Lake, the Charles River, and the many restaurants in walking distance are fan favorites will contribute to an easy stay.
