The original home is over 100 years old. It was a home in the middle of a english walnut orchard. Several additions were made to the home in the last decade including an apartment above the original home. There is a private entry beside the garage up to the stairs to the apartment. On the floor level is a second bathroom with a shower and a wet sauna.
I am a retired Boeing engineer and a business consultant. I recently moved to Eugene and brought books and art from my feminist bookstore near Seattle.
The neighborhood is called Whiteaker. It is on the Willamette river. One-quarter mile from the apartment is a footbridge across the river to Valley River Mall including a movie theatre. There is a bike/walking path along the length of the river for 12 miles with foot bridges every mile or so crossing the river. The apartment is close to downtown and two miles from the University of Oregon and Autzen stadium.
