Hi, I work on a number of historic restorations in town, including the Grand Theater which is the largest project I have taken on. I'm at the Bed and Breakfast full time alone with my son Derek and we also have rental property we maintain and operate. I'm very involved in the City of Steubenville and am working constantly to make Steubenville an even more interesting place for our guests! Glad you have chosen to stay here!

Property info

The Bayberry House Bed and Breakfast consists of 4 1870s Victorian Homes. Two that we have competed restoration of, the Westfall House at 813 N 4th Street and the Garret House at 741 N 4th Street. Both homes feature 4 guest rooms all with private baths on the second floor. Eventually our third home at 801 will be open as well, and I live in the 4th house directly behind the other 3. The Westfall House offers a brighter more country Victorian feel while the Garrett House has a more serious traditionally Victorian feel of woodwork and colors. We have WIFI throughout for your use and TV available in each room. We do a nice homemade breakfast each morning that is served buffet style in the kitchen and dining room of each house from 7:30 to 9:30. Welcome to your home away from home, I hope you enjoy your stay.

Neighborhood info

The North Fourth Street Historic District is a small historic district that runs from the High School in the 400 block to the Jefferson County Historic Museum on Franklin Avenue, a total of just 5 blocks. We have a mix of historic structures dating from 1850 to 1920, in a variety of architectural styles of those times. We are just a couple minutes from Franciscan University entrance to the west and Historic downtown to the south. Steubenville is an older City established in 1897, with Fort Steuben (which has been recreated) being build in 1787 to house the surveyors of the first 7 Ranges of the Northwest Territory. There is a lot of history here, come and explore.
