I have lived in Cantwell for 54 years, my husband since 1990. My family originally came to the area in 1958 & lived in the "bush" for many years. My father was a registered guide & outfitter. My brother still flies one of his airplanes & lives in Alaska. We enjoy every season, love to snowmachine every winter & love living here. My family also owns the Runway House B&B across the runway.

Property info

Cantwell Lodge offers rooms with private restrooms, a bar "The Longhorn Saloon" and a restaurant "Cantwell Café ". There are Three hiking Trails to explore. one will get you a view of MT. Denali, another will take to an elevated view of the astonishing Broad Pass Alaska, hiking the last trail will land you in Denali National Park, about a 6 mile hike. It is a 27 Mile drive to the entrance to Denali National Park. You may also have an opportunity to view, from the lodge, the engines of The Alaska Railroad.

Neighborhood info

In this area folks enjoy hiking, berry picking, cross country skiing, snowmachining & enjoying the peace & quiet. Dog Gone It sled dog tours are 3/4 of a mile up the road, Atkins Flying Service is our neighbor & the Denali Highway is here. Denali National Park is 27 miles north of us & has lots to do up there. Our beagle, Daisy, enjoys visiting & a little snack every now & then.
