I started renting my first home, Carraig Mor, about 15 years ago. It was not your normal Door County Cottage, it was my home and was rented as such. Carraigeen Cottage is a new 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 700sq foot cottage right on the shores of beautiful Kangaroo Lake. It has a fully equipped modern kitchen with granite countertops, new stainless steel appliances, including a full sized dishwasher, full stove, large refrigerator, and new washer / dryer. It has 4 queen pillow top beds perfect for 1-2 families or a group of friends. Outside there is a BBQ and picnic style tables. There are several chairs. We have a spot for a boat at the dock. You are welcome to bring your own boat. You can launch it at the Baileys Harbor boat launch on Kangaroo Lake Road. There is a launch fee and it is on the honor system. The collection box is at the launch. Children will love paddling and swimming in the warm waters of Kangaroo Lake. This is a great location for fishing, biking, hiking and canoeing and close to all the downtown amenities of Baileys Harbor and Egg Harbor – Shops, restaurants, galleries, cafes and the marina and beach are only a few minutes away. Get ready for some gorgeous sunsets!
