Architect-Designed Glass House on 5 Private Acres · Near Hunter Mountain and Woodstock Stay in a modern, architect-designed retreat set on 5 private wooded acres in the Catskills. The home is designed to maximize natural light and connection to nature, with floor-to-ceiling glass, warm natural materials, and expansive forest and mountain views. Ideal for ski trips, hiking weekends, and quiet escapes, the house offers a seamless indoor-outdoor experience with a private terrace and firepit. Just 12–15 minutes from Hunter Mountain and close to Woodstock, it combines privacy, design, and access to the region’s best outdoor activities.

I’m a Colombian architect, and together with my wife from LA, we designed this home from the ground up. Every material and detail reflects our focus on nature, simplicity, and sustainable living. Hosting for us is personal. The art, books, and small touches throughout the house are part of who we are, and we enjoy sharing this space with guests who appreciate design and a connection to nature.

Elka Park is a quiet hamlet in the heart of the Catskill Mountains, surrounded by State Forest and known for its natural beauty, privacy, and year-round outdoor activities. Hunter Mountain is just 15 minutes away, offering skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and mountain biking. The nearby village of Tannersville (10 minutes) features local restaurants, cafés, and shops, while Woodstock is 20 minutes away in the summer, great for dining, art, and culture.
