Hi! We are Mark and Michelle Hanson, owners of The Modern Strawberry Chalet, and we have been married for over 10 years. Michelle is a Pharmacy Student at Creighton University, and Mark is a Real Estate Broker. We have 3 very large and crazy dogs and hope to start our own family soon. While we had the time and relative freedom, we decided to take on the exciting (and nerve-wracking!) task of remodeling a home to turn into a short-term rental. After looking for several years, we first fell in love Strawberry, and later, the A-frame construction and large lot (remember, 3 big, crazy dogs!) of what would be our first investment property. We noticed a unique opportunity with the home, as the area lacks many large-group compatible options, but we also knew that the process of bringing something of this magnitude and size up to our standards would be a long and difficult journey. From day one, we envisioned that The Modern Strawberry Chalet should be a unique and unforgettable experience, and, over the course of two years, did our very best to build exactly that type of experience into every aspect of the home.
