This historic home was owned by the Mayor of Fairbanks during the great flood of 1967 and was entirely remodeled in 2018 to host visitors to the Golden Heart City. The neighborhood is the original Fairbanks town-site. A quiet little street with nearby businesses and restaurants due to its close proximity to core downtown. Also there are some really old original cabins and homes, some from the gold rush era, that are still being lived in! Around the corner is a recently remodeled little cabin built in 1904. There is a small grocery store five short blocks away (the Co-op Grocery), or Safeway is a 20 minute walk. It is possible to go without a rental car being right downtown, but I would probably recommend one to help you see all Fairbanks has to offer. Off the street (driveway) parking is available to you, or free street parking (curbside) is also available if there are multiple vehicles in your party.
