The neighborhood The home is located only a five-minute walk to the nearest trailheads, a 15-minute walk to the ocean bluff trail, one mile to the sandy Shell Beach, a 10-minute walk to the nearest redwoods hiking trail, and a 0.7-mile walk to the historic Sea Ranch Chapel. Explore over Sea Ranch's 50 miles of trails, discover tidepools at low tide, swim in heated community pools, and end the day with dinner at The Sea Ranch Lodge. Gualala is a quick 10-minute drive south for groceries, dining, and fuel. For a scenic outing, Jenner and Bodega Bay are further down Highway 1. Getting around Sea Ranch is located on the Sonoma Coast, approximately 2.5 hours north of San Francisco via Highway 101 to Highway 1. The closest airport is Charles M. An outdoor nook is available to hose off anything that needs to be hosed: freshly caught fish, ocean-drenched/sandy doggies, beach toys, etc. If you drive a compact car, you are welcome to park in the garage; the clearance is too tight for standard cars, SUVs, and trucks. Good to know: all Sea Ranch recreation centers are closed until further notice. The work-from-home experience is a joy with fast fiber-optic internet, available from every corner of the house via mesh WiFi, and enhanced by Nest.
