Deer Camp is a glamping experience. All the feels of camping without the work and without giving up comfort: A/C, heat, bathrooms, beds, wifi. It’s the perfect balance for campers that married non campers. If you’re celebrating a special occasion, please let us know as we love to make it extra special. There is a pancake breakfast (ingredients) provided for one morning. A coffee, tea, & hot cocoa bar. Pour over or percolator. The cabin and bathhouse have propane fireplaces and stay toasty warm in cooler weather. There is a cot or pack-n-play that can be added, but there isn’t room for both. Additional campers can be accommodated if they wish to pitch a tent. This is at a fee per person per night and requires pre-approval. Or there is an RV spot to park a camper with electricity. But this is only for your group. Space is never shared with anyone else. Pets are welcome. There is a pet fee based on the pet so just let me know what you have. There is a fire stick for the outdoor movie theater. Bring your cable login for live sports. Rented movies are fine but will be billed to you. You may hear and/or see chickens. Or occasionally receive a visit from an escaped pug.

Hello! We are Mitch & Lori and if you’ve made it this far then you’re considering our property and we thank you for that. We’ve been 5 star hosts for 9 years. And our wonderful guests are why we love what we do. We love creating a personalized experience for you. We’ve traveled the world and still have bucket list places we want to go to. We’ve been to several parts of Mexico, Vietnam, Dominican Republic, Grand Turk, Bahamas, etc. My top bucket list place is to walk where Jesus walked. Ww built Deer Camp as a short term rental. And it was constructed from a lot of repurposed materials. The flooring is tractor trailer flooring. The windows are out of an old house in Savannah, GA. The door alone was a 6 hour car ride as the sound it makes when closing was incredibly intentional. It was fun to build and done with purpose and nostalgia. We hope you love it too!

Deer Camp is in the woods on the Cumberland Plateau. Those somewhat remote, it is perfectly located for both privacy and adventure. 16.2 miles from Fall Creek Falls State Park. 9 miles from Savage Gulf, 30 minutes from Rock Island, 45 minutes from Greeter Falls, and 60 minutes to the Stone Door. The parks offers miles and miles of hiking trails with beautiful water falls and scenic overlooks. Fall Creek Falls also offers a zip line, canoeing or kayaking, a restaurant by the water, and a pontoon boat ride. On the way into the park you’ll drive through a Mennonite community and pass by a riding stable if you fancy a trail ride. Dunlap is also the hang gliding capital and if you’re a thrill seeker, you can schedule a tandem jump with a couple of outfits in town. We are so only 30 minutes from McMinnville, 50 miles from Chattanooga, and an hour from Cookeville. Grocery delivery is available from the local Walmart. There are several local owned restaurants in town too with lots of good food. At the end of the day, return to camp and enjoy the outdoor movie theater (rain or shine), or make s’mores over the camp fire. Read a book, play a board game or enjoy lazing in the hammock. The bathhouse is an all time favorite with a greenhouse feel and unlimited hot water and a gas log fireplace. The kitchen is fully stocked and includes two coolers (one comes with ice), a propane grill, propane camp stove with oven, sink, and utensils as well as some basic spices and cooking oil as well as plates and utensils.
