We are a large relaxed country house on a quiet country road on the Core Sound that strives to treat everyone like family. We are child and pet friendly with a toy room for children and we have water bowls and treats in the rooms for your pet. We have two guest rooms with private bathrooms for your use only. Room Seaview has a king size bed with bathroom with shower in the room and balcony with water view. Room Garden view has a king size bed with quiet street and lawn view balcony . Garden View room has a private bathroom across the hall with a tub and hand held shower . We also have a simple enclosed private outdoor hot water shower on the side of the house. Both bedrooms have an additional blow up mattress we can place on the floor for children. We are on a quiet dead end road . We have chickens ,geese ,ducks ,and a small bantam rooster who is closed up at night. You may hear him crow faintly in the morning. We have 3 cats who are not allowed in the guest rooms The house faces east with wonderful sunrises. We are 20 minutes to Beaufort, 30 minutes to Morehead, 35 minutes to Atlantic Beach.

I enjoy meeting new people and cooking for them . I am a past restaurant owner so I'm comfortable and experienced in cooking for folks. I am happy to accommodate any food allergies or preferences I'm a retired dental hygienist , mother of two children grandmother to three. My main goal is for my guests to have a happy relaxed visit

We are located "Downeast" in Carteret Country as the area is called. Its a collection of fishing villages that stretch east of which Gloucester is one of them . The area is surrounded by water and offers numerous beaches : Cape Lookout ,Shackelford Banks, Radio Island ,Atlantic Beach. Because of the beautiful and clean water we are known as the Crystal Coast. Seafood of all types take center stage in the area restaurants. We have especially beautiful shrimp in the summer/ fall and wonderful local oysters all winter. We have had some 7.5 reviews about location. WE ARE IN THE COUNTRY I can't stress that enough. There are few restaurants or shops. Any fine dining is back in Beaufort or Morehead City. People enjoy the quiet atmosphere.
