We are located just 20 minutes from the east entrance (less crowded, faster entry!) to Joshua Tree National Park and 40 minutes from the west entrance. Perfect for couples, small families, or solo adventurers, this cozy desert retreat offers uninterrupted mountain views, peaceful privacy, and some of the best skies for stargazing in California. This home is located on a dirt road. Please follow directions sent after booking to avoid 4x4 roads. Dirt roads will need to be driven more slowly, but 4-wheel drive is not required. Our home is your home. We welcome guests of all races, faiths, genders, and sexual orientations. Please make this space your own. If you have any ideas to improve our guest experience, please don't hesitate to send us a message. You may encounter wildlife on your stay. Please keep an eye on your children and pets, and remember, this is their home too. Our home is tucked away in a peaceful, remote desert setting—perfect for slowing down and disconnecting. Because of our location, Wi-Fi may be spotty or slower than city speeds. While most guests have no issue, it may not be reliable enough for work calls or high-demand streaming, so please plan accordingly if consistent internet is essential. We like to think of it as a chance to unplug and enjoy the quiet beauty of the desert.

We're the hosts behind Golden Moon Hideaway. I am a NICU nurse and Dean is a tattoo artist. We created this space as a place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the magic of the desert. We're drawn to the desert for its quiet beauty, expansive skies, and the way it invites rest and reflection. When we're not hosting or working, you'll usually find us exploring new places, enjoying good food, and spending time outdoors. What we love most about hosting is creating an experience. We want you to feel welcomed, comfortable, and truly taken care of. Golden Moon Hideaway is off the beaten path. It is about a 15-minute drive from the main road, where you will find plenty of stores and restaurants. This leaves our property extremely quiet with unobstructed 360 views and plenty of darkness to enjoy the night sky.
