This beautiful apartment is situated at the base of Thunder Mountain up against a greenbelt with a trailhead at the end of the street extending to the Mendenhall Glacier on relatively flat, even terrain. This two-bedroom is beautifully upgraded with a granite kitchen, bathroom, and fireplace. This pet-friendly space features laminate flooring throughout, so it's easy to keep clean. The unique design of this property joins three dwelling units with a three-bay garage, so no units share any walls. This getaway is a second-floor unit, on top of the garages, with direct access to the garage and laundry area from inside the unit. There is no charge for off-street parking. Garage parking is not available at this time.

Conveniently located 6 miles from the Juneau Ferry Terminal, 2 miles from the airport, 3 miles from Mendenhall Glacier, 4 miles from the University of Alaska Southeast, 10.5 miles from Downtown Juneau, and 21 miles from Eaglecrest Ski Area, it provides an excellent base for exploring the area. A city bus stop is just a 10-minute walk away, with a convenience store nearby, and two bicycles are available for rent at the property for easy access to local attractions. Guests can reach the glacier by car, bike, or by walking along paved bike paths and gravel trails, and public transportation is also available for part of the route. Located in the beautiful Mendenhall Valley, this home offers a more affordable alternative to staying downtown while still providing convenient access to Juneau’s top destinations. Please note that this is not a downtown Juneau property, so if you prefer to stay in the city center and avoid the approximately 45-minute bus ride between the valley and downtown, this property may not be the best fit for your stay.
