This an old house, over 100 years, with old house quirks. Do not expect shiny and new. It is in a fantastic location across from the Aquarium and the Niagara Gorge in Niagara Falls, NY. A quick walk, half a mile, to the Falls themselves. FREE Wi-FI. Conveniently located near a supermarket and public transportation. We are permitted and meet all health and safety standards required by the City of Niagara Falls.
We are avid travelers and running our guesthouse and vacation rentals allows us some freedom in the off season to do just that. Carroll spent most of her career in Human Resources but gave it all up to open a guesthouse & hostel - leaving the wonderful California weather behind but gaining a wonderful husband. Andre is from Germany and we found each other here!
The house is situated in the Park Place Historic District within a typical rust belt city. It is a national historic district located at Niagara Falls in Niagara County, New York. Downtown Niagara Falls New York has seen better days but is on the rebound. This is an urban environment in a rust belt city with a diverse racial and socioeconomic population. While many of the big old houses in the area are lovely and well maintained, there are others that are neglected or empty. It is an area that is slowly being brought back to life with new people and energy. One should not expect a resort like atmosphere within the city.
