Heritage House Lodging & Events is co-owned by husband and wife team Leif Espelund and Dani Nelson. This isn't your typical bed & breakfast. We provide modern amenities and luxuries in a historic building. We live on the property in a separate building so we are here to help if you need us, but you don't feel like you are sleeping at someones house. Come experience our boutique luxury hotel!

Heritage House is a five bedroom boutique inn set in a historic home in beautiful Opelika, Alabama. We're located just a short walk from all the dining, shopping, and entertainment that historic downtown Opelika has to offer. All five of our tastefully appointed guest rooms feature a private bathroom, king size bed with luxurious Stearns & Foster mattress, a 55" Smart TV, an adjustable speed ceiling fan, dimmable overhead lighting, and all the comforts of home. PLEASE NOTE: This is a historic building and it does not have an elevator. Guests must be able to climb stairs to access the building and the guest rooms.

Opelika was recently described to us as Auburn’s cool hipster aunt. A little quieter, a little older but still keeping up with the times in surprising ways. You’ll find amazing opportunities for dining, shopping and getting into the outdoors, but more importantly, you’ll find a community that wants to provide you with a quality experience that brings you back again and again!
