“Love that there were a lot of activities to do and there were a lot of bathrooms accessible. Also, it was very close to the lake. We also rented pontoons at the Aquatic Center and it was a very short drive to the property :)”

Welcome to Deep Creek Lake Bear Lair! <br /><br />Formerly known as Stars & Stripes at Deep Creek Lake, this beloved lake retreat is now under new ownership with thoughtful updates while preserving everything guests have loved. Beautiful lake views, a dock slip, hot tub, fire pit, game room, three living areas, 4 BR, a fully equipped kitchen, dog-friendly accommodations, and complimentary access to a modern fitness center and indoor pool—5 minutes from WISP Resort and Deep Creek Lake's top attractions.
I am a COO, but also a mom of 3, owner of 5 dogs, 4 cats and 1 horse. I love creating moments of joy. Oakland Bear Lair is my happy place. I have poured my heart and soul into making it the best place for a big family or group of friends to spend some time together. Every detail has been thought of with love and care. I hope people can come to Oakland Bear Lair the way I do - straight out of work, with just the clothes on my back. There is everything there waiting for me in the quiet mountain.
Lake front property, with a dock slip - right by the 219 bridge. Less than 5 minutes from WISP and Garrett College (access to indoor pool and full gym included). One of the easiest houses to access on the lake!
