Property info

This gracious lodge style home, presented by StayBettr Vacation Rentals, makes you feel interconnected with nature both indoors and out. The lower level den even features a garage door style wall that opens up to the outdoor firepit and hot tub. The property boasts a flat shoreline at one of the widest points on Swinging Bridge Lake. Inside you'll find stylish open concept living spaces with plenty of room for your group to spread out across the two levels and a separate loft studio apartment.

Neighborhood info

Swinging Bridge Reservoir is the largest largest lake in the Sullivan Catskills, and one of the few that allows motor boats. You'll feel removed from the city, but still within 20 minutes of groceries and things to do. The neighborhood is a mix of seasonal homes and year round residents. A public boat launch is nearby, and just around the corner are two full services marinas--Starlight and Swinging Bridge Marinas. We recommend having car for your stay. Taxis are available, but ride sharing services are more sparse. Rental car services are available in Monticello. Shortline Coach Bus Service provides service between New York City and Monticello as well. Otisville and Port Jervis Metro North Stations are each approximately 30 minutes drive from the house. The trip from NY Penn Station to Otisville is about 2 hours. Train access is great if you have members of your group who need to arrive/depart at different times.
