~You will be very comfortable in our townhouse, located in this vibrant midwestern town, home of the University of Kansas. ~Our home stays pretty calm and quiet. ~Your space is on the upper level, accessed by stairs, where you enjoy your own bathroom and several conveniences, like a coffee maker, small fridge and a desk. ~You have full use of the kitchen, laundry, and garden area. ~Guests tend to comment on the very comfortable mattress, the artwork throughout, and our general hospitality and kindness.
I am moving towards retirement, but not done yet! My career path has been zig zaggy—I worked in Accounting and later developed expertise in Nonprofit Management. I am now a certified Enneagram trainer and mentor. My husband Larry was an Architect until his retirement, he is now an artist and a creator of many things! We lived in Colorado for several decades before moving to Lawrence. We both stay very active with various work, community and hobby activities.
We are on the East side of Lawrence, about 3 miles from city center. Close enough to enjoy the action, but away from any noise (which happens because there is always something to celebrate here in Lawrence). There is a lot of live music, art and festivals of all sorts to enjoy in Lawrence. The KU campus is just a bit further from us, 3.7 miles max. Our location also makes it easy to get to Kansa City. We love our quiet neighborhood and the nearby parks and natural areas. Prairie Park is 3/4 of a mile from here, with many walking paths and trails. Baker Wetlands, our favorite place to decompress, is not too far away, just 2.7 miles. We hope you can discover all there is to love about Lawrence KS
