The neighborhood The Sea Ranch is a one-of-a-kind coastal community on the Sonoma Coast, where miles of trails wind through meadows, forests, and along ocean bluffs. Nearby highlights include community heated pool (North) (7-minute walk), Shell Beach tidepools (7-minute drive), The Sea Ranch Lodge restaurant, lounge and café (7-minute drive). Between the coastal trails, tidepools, heated pools, and The Sea Ranch Lodge's restaurant, you could fill a week without leaving the community. For provisions, Gualala (10 minutes south) has grocery stores, restaurants, and a gas station. Jenner and Bodega Bay are scenic drives south. Getting around Plan for a 2.5-hour drive from San Francisco (Highway 101 to Highway 1). If flying, Santa Rosa's Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) is the closest option at about 90 minutes east. You'll want a car here -- the winding coastal roads are half the adventure. Morning fog is common along the coast -- it usually burns off by midday.
