"The wood cabin still had the scent of freshly cut wood. Very new, clean, warm, and cozy (throws for the sofa and a puzzle on the table, too!). It had every kitchen appliance you may need for a long stay, too."

Nestled along a quiet mountain road, it’s ideal for guests looking to unplug and enjoy the natural beauty of West Virginia. Please note: the access road is a steep dirt mountain road. During winter conditions, four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive is required, as the road can remain slippery even after being cleared. We welcome guests from near and far—whether you’re passing through or planning a relaxing stay in the mountains.
Lost River has been our weekend home since 2014, offering the peace, adventure, and rewarding work that define mountain living. Short-term hosting wasn’t part of the original plan, but one project naturally led to the next. Today, we enjoy hosting guests who value nature and are looking to make meaningful memories together.
The property sits along a quiet mountain road in West Virginia, perfect for guests looking to unplug, enjoy nature, and experience true peace and tranquility.
