My family and I have been coming to the Catskills for years. We love all that the Catskills have to offer! In the winter there is skiing, snowboarding, sledding, skating. In the spring everything comes alive. The fishing is excellent, the land and mountains are breathe taking. Summer is a great time to visit there are many festivals and farmers markets in the area. As you can imagine fall is just about everyone's favorite! Maple farms, apple picking, pumpkin picking and the foliage is awesome!
We are located directly across from Mine Kill State Park. This state park offers miles of trails, waterfalls and wildlife. They offer kaykng, boating and fishing. There is a 3 pool complex free of charge. Mine Kill is also known for its disk golf. In the winter enjoy sledding, skating, snowshoeing, snowmobling etc... Windham, Hunter ,Plattekill Mountain ski resorts are all about 30 minutes drive. Blenheim/Gilboa visitor center is 5 minutes away and offers lots of activities, it is open year round. Rockland Cider Works is 3 minutes away. This is a family friendly destination. Entertainment an food trucks on weekends. There are many farm stands in this area including maple syrup farms that offer fresh produce, pumpkin and apple picking and local products. Take a short ride to the quaint towns of Middleburgh or Stamford. Here you will find great coffee shops, farm to table restaurants and shops. Cooperstown is an hour drive from the cabin. This is a very scenic drive! Cooperstown is known for the Baseball Hall of Fame.
