Carteret County is well known for its out door living from boating to hunting and the wild ponies on Shakleford Banks Many areas are in walking distance. There are shops that rent kayaks, boats, SIP, jet ski, and bicycles. A vehicle is needs for many of the day trips. The area is a great vacation spot.
