Things to Know This is a quiet lake. Neighbors are particularly sensitive to loud noises. Many will immediately call the state police if guests are loud or intrusive. Please respect these neighbors. Please note that there is no public boat launch on Friend's Lake and no boat launch at this location. You are not allowed to bring your own boats to this lake. This includes kayaks, canoes, and other small personal watercraft. Trash service is not available at this property. This property is located in an area administered by the Adirondack Park Commission. As with many remote homes in the Adirondack Park, this is a carry-in, carry-out location. Please take trash to the Chestertown Landfill/Transfer Station . We recommend calling early in your stay to find out fees and open days. This property is managed by Vacasa New York LLC. Vacasa is a registered New York State sales tax vendor. And if Vacasa is the merchant of record will collect sales tax and applicable unit fees on all sales of short-term rental unit occupancy within New York State that it facilitates.
