Company info

We are both native to the area and have a vast knowledge of local activities. While the Bed and Breakfast is a labor of love, we both have full time careers. Eric is an electrical engineer and Miriam is a healthcare professional. Eric grew up on a local farm and brings a great deal of appreciation for ensuring that we access local products whenever necessary. Miriam spent many hours working with her mother, who was a local caterer. We enjoy history and visiting historic locations. We love to travel. We spend much of our free time hiking local trails, kayaking, picnicking along the banks of the Hudson River, enjoying theater, local wineries and restaurants. As a result, we understand your needs and can offer some great suggestions. We enjoy meeting people from various locations, cultures, and ethnic backgrounds. We look forward to meeting you.

Property info

We are in love with the Renwick Clifton House and we know you will be too. This property is so amazing and special. The home is a southern style mansion, built in 1812 and bursting with character. We never get tired of the amazing Hudson River views. Each time we look out the window or take a moment to relax on the back porch we are surprised and delighted by what we see. 5 lush, green acres are alive with wildlife. Deer, wild turkey and bald eagles are everyday visitors. The area is home to over 150 different species of birds and butterflies are plentiful, as well. We have had the pleasure of watching fox cubs play and humming birds sing. We would be remiss if we didn't mention that the property is home to our very own honey bees. Our bees pollinate the many flowers, vegetables and herbs that grow on the property. In addition to producing our own honey, we also tap our maple trees each year and prepare homemade maple syrup for your culinary pleasure. Come visit and enjoy the enchantment. Fall in love with each other all over again or for the very first time. Romance is just part of the magic that comes along with the beauty and charm of the Renwick Clifton House.

Neighborhood info

The Saugerties area is rich in history and natural beauty. We are centrally located in the Hudson Valley where the Hudson River meets the Catskills Mountains. The property is located less than a mile from the Village of Saugerties where you will find an eclectic mix of art galleries, restaurants, shops and antique stores. We are within walking distance to kayaking, boating and swimming. Don't miss the world famous Saugerties Lighthouse or some of the best hiking trails in New York State. If you are a history lover, the area is your oyster. Visit the many area riverfront mansions and area museums. Let us know what your interests are and we will help you find your pleasure, all located just a stones throw away.
