This cabin-style home sits right on a quiet back channel of the Mississippi River — the kind of place where you actually slow down. There's a deck overlooking the water, a fully stocked kitchen with an air fryer, reverse osmosis water filter, and everything you need to cook and settle in. The main floor has a cozy living room with a fireplace, and upstairs you'll find a loft lounge with a full bar. Three bedrooms sleep up to 8, and the whole property is steps from Merrick State Park trails. An outdoor barrel sauna is coming soon. It's a simple, comfortable, well-loved home on one of the prettiest stretches of river in Wisconsin.

We're Rob and Bri, we've been coming to Fountain City for years and fell in love with the river community. Bri grew up in Winona and Rob attended Winona State which is how we met. This is our family's place, and we take a lot of pride in keeping it well-maintained and welcoming for guests. A family member/property manager lives on-site in the adjacent dwelling and keeps an eye on the property, but your stay is fully private. We're always reachable through the app and want to make sure you have everything you need for a great trip.

Fountain City is a small river town with a lot of charm — bald eagles, bluffs, and a handful of great local spots just minutes away. You're steps from Merrick State Park for hiking and dog walks, and a short drive gets you to some of the best small towns along the Mississippi. Buffalo City and Cochrane are 10 minutes out, Alma and Winona are 15 minutes, and towns like Nelson, Pepin, and Wabasha are all worth the short drive for food, wineries, and river scenery. It's a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood that feels a world away without actually being far from anything.
