However, the grounds are large with ample spaces and decks for all. We are a nature loving property. While the inside of the house is pest free. Outside you will see nature in its glory. This includes spiders, insects, wildlife and more... If nature is not your thing. This might not be the right property for you! Located on the banks of the beautiful Colorado this 2400 sq ft, 4 bed/2 bath, open-concept house with an sun porch and gorgeous river views will win your heart and soul. The large backyard has an outdoor kitchen and dining pergola and numerous shady sitting areas. Four hammocks are positioned perfectly for an afternoon nap in the shade. Located just approximately 4 miles from historic downtown Bastrop, River's Edge Retreat has much to offer! The 4 bedroom mid century open-concept home sleeps 8. We strongly advise trip insurance to cover your booking and will provide any documentation you may need to facilitate your claim. Our cancelation policy will be adhered to at all times during your reservation. We do not refund reservations outside of our cancelation policy. Unlike hotels who typically overbook reservations, we do not have that option. We have blocked off the property from all advertising once you booked it and typically have a hard time re-booking on short notice.

I grew up on a river in small town Texas and fell in love with the river life! I am so excited to share my properties here on the beautiful Colorado River and introduce you to what I love about the river and surrounding area. Whether Kayaking, fishing, hiking or just relaxing on the banks, I have no doubt you will fall in love with RiversEdge... As mentioned above, the grounds to this property are shared with folks from our sister property, RiverNook. The grounds are large with plenty of room for everyone and we never have problems with this. However if you want the entire property to yourselves you will need to book RiverNook as well. Contact us for details as we do not list it on this platform. Also please note we are a rural nature retreat. You will see spiders and lizards on the outside of the house as well as on the grounds. You will most likely see wildlife on the property as well as an occasional snake. The house is on a river in rural Texas, they live here and tolerate us... Not the other way around. If you are the type to complain about spiders, webs, wildlife or just hate nature in general, please, please, book somewhere else. It is rather difficult to endure complaining about these things when people are booking a nature retreat and happen to see nature. For the rest of you normal folks. I have no doubt that like thousands of others who have visited our property... You will fall in love with it!
