Roaring Fork Chalet is named after the 200-foot waterfall that is located down the mountain behind the chalet. In the winter, you can hear the waterfall, and the relaxing effects are something only Mt Mitchell can bring to you. The chalet was built in the early 1980s and still maintains some of that classic 80s style, decor, and charm. It features modern amenities, including smart TVs, Firesticks, a new HVAC system, endless hot water, fast WiFi, new appliances, and super-comfortable linens.

Please note that we provide linens, toilet paper, and paper towels. Winter: Please be aware that we experience snow. The HOA does a great job of keeping the roads cleared, but they only do so after the snow stops. Therefore, please be mindful of the weather and the potential for snowy conditions. Plan your trip accordingly. Pet Policy: * Dog fees are extra and are charged per night, plus taxes. * A maximum of two dogs are allowed, with prior approval. * The owner and/or their representatives reserve the right to deny any dog for any reason. Please note that only dogs are permitted. We apologize, but due to allergies, we cannot accommodate cats, rabbits, birds, mice, elephants, zebras, horses, cattle, bees, or any other animals besides dogs. While we love animals, we are unable to make exceptions. Security: * There is a camera located near the basement door on a motion-activated floodlight. This allows us to monitor the weather and the parking area during guest departures. * The cleaning service can access the chalet for cleaning if guests check out before 10 AM.
