We purchased the Sheridan House Inn in March of 2018, after falling in love with it, just like so many of past guests have done, while visiting in the summer of 2017. Having always had the desire to own our own business together, the dream of being innkeepers began years ago as hospitality, entertaining and "playing with food" has been our way of life during our 34 years of marriage. After the kids reached independence, we decided to take this leap and leave our corporate jobs to fulfill this dream. We couldn't believe how much this area in the mountains of Northern Arizona reminded us of Colorado, where we moved from - it's absolutely an oasis of the American Southwest. We love the property and fully intend to continue the upscale amenities and services the previous owners, Nick and Claire, so lovingly created. Plus, we hope to continually add packages, enhancements, suggested travel itineraries, additional gourmet meals and assistance with booking activities, as we explore our new place to live and develop our business. All our rooms feature contemporary furnishings and amenities, with private baths, many of which have been renovated with walk-in rain showers and luxury vanities. When weather allows, you'll be treated to breakfast on a patio, and you'll feel like you're eating in a tree house, complete with our friendly hummingbirds for company. Speaking of breakfast - no one ever skips it if they can help it, as every day includes 4 entree choices which change daily and seasonally, all cooked to order for you anytime between 8-9am included, accommodating dietary restrictions. We offer picnics to go enjoy in nature, & our "Stay In the Inn" Dinners on Tues, Thurs, Sat & Sun nights - like having your own personal chef. The weather at this elevation never get too hot, unlike much of the rest of Arizona, and the place is a winter wonderland when it snows. Inviting common areas indoors allow for dining and conversing with new friends, while gazing out at the forest and enjoying decor featuring vistas of the majestic places of beauty from the surrounding area. We are only a few blocks or a 10 minute walk from Historic Route 66, 1 hour from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and 45 minutes away from the spectacular Oak Creek Canyon and the inspiring red rocks of Sedona. This centralized location of Williams is a perfect place to unpack for a few days while enjoying these and many other sites, including the largest Ponderosa Pine National Forested area in the country, as day trips from the Sheridan House. While the crowds abound at the most popular tourist areas, we can direct you to places to surround yourself in solitude, and our inn, with it's peaceful location in the pines above Williams, is a place to unwind and recharge in the quiet and beauty of the forest.
