STUNNING POOL & SPA - VIEWS TO THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY - WARM & WELCOMING - AMBIANCE PLUS! Tax ID number 852N Summers House, is a rustic contemporary country home and architectural gem. Warm, welcoming, filled with art, antiques, and books, the house garners rave reviews from groups who enjoy its embrace. As one notable author stated, 'Now I have been spoiled; every other place we stayed in after yours seemed well, soul less. That might be so for all our future vacation homes.' Views reach to San Francisco Bay and Golden Gate Bridge, yet Summers House is just 10 minutes from Historic Sonoma Plaza. Designed by award winning architect Robert Zinkhan, the house, large deck, pool and spa surrounded by stone, and waterfall fountain are beautifully integrated into the natural landscape punctuated with large mossy boulders. Adult guests are preferred. DESIGN, DECOR AND AMENITIES Summers House features Mexican paver tile floors, huge exposed posts and beams, beautifully tiled, handcrafted, fully equipped kitchen, native stone fireplace, and a quarter sawn Oak piano. Leather furnishings, cotton linens, lux rugs, and comfortable beds make for a comfortable, cozy stay.
Pat Summers is a long time resident of Sonoma Valley, one of the most beautiful places on earth to live and visit. Pat founded Summers-McCann Public Relations and was involved in the food, wine, hospitality, and art industries for more 30 years. She conceived and founded Sonoma Salute to the Arts, an event that set the standard for wine country events, from 1986 through 2007. She and her team and created the world famous Napa Valley Mustard Festival, which offered multiple events from January through March, through 2010. Pat now enjoys hosting guests in her vacation rental: Summers House in prestigious east side Sonoma three miles from Sonoma Plaza. She also assists other property owners with renovations, decor, management and marketing of vacation rentals. Pat treasures spending time with her children and grandchildren. Pat designed the property's stunning stone pool and spa with the assistance of Sonoma Backyard, Sonoma Cascades and Deva Gardening. It was completed in 2019. Guests report enjoying soaking in the spa and star gazing after days of touring and tasting. Pool heating and spa heating are an additional fee.
As a guest at Summers House you will have a personal connection with this unique and beautiful country property and wonderful part of the world. The neighborhood is rural residential, private, and close to wineries. The road to the house winds through vineyards and forests. It is important to drive slowly and to respect the privacy of neighbors. Once inside the gate, you will enter a private paradise. The house is unusually welcoming. Most guests comment on the beauty and warmth of the house, stating that it is even better than the photos. Pat prefers mature adult guests. Infants are welcome. Toddlers must be watched carefully as there are ladders to access lots and the deck is at second story level as the house is built on a hillside. The house is not a good choice for older children. Summers House provides the perfect setting for a truly memorable small gatherings of friends and family, and provides an extremely cost effective way to experience the Wine Country.
