Our mission is to provide a look into St. Petersburg’s storied past while highlighting the Sunshine City’s New Age Renaissance.

Property info

Originally built in 1923 and was known then as the Hillcrest Hotel. In 2024 the building was fully renovated and The 1888 Hotel was born. The 1888 Hotel pays homage to the year 1888 in which St. Petersburg, Florida was first settled. Owned and operated by a local team it is our mission to preserve the unique nature of our city and its buildings. Our historic building comes with a modern twist, we are a fully contactless and a self-check in establishment. All rooms come standard with a coffee maker, kitchen efficiency, Smart TV, and fridge. Upgrades include 1 or 2 bedroom apartments, pull out sofas, and king beds. For our remote workers we provide the fastest Wi-Fi available with the option of connecting directly via an in room ethernet port. The 1888 Hotel is nestled in the middle of Downtown St Petersburg and you are just minutes away from the famous St. Petersburg Pier and Dali Museum.

You will be 2 blocks from Vinoy Park, 2 blocks from the Sundial plaza, 4 blocks from the famous St. Pete Pier, 4 blocks from Central Ave and a short 10 minute drive to Trip Advisor’s #1 beach in the country - St. Pete Beach.
