The property was once a single family residence, historically used partly as a bar/lodge known as the Oak Lodge Inn. Bungalows were added througout the yard. My husband and I fell in love with this property and are restoring the living spaces one by one. The Acorn is the first of these, and we are thrilled to start renting it. The property is almost two acres of oak trees, and guests can build a camp fire and stroll through the wooded areas.

I also love how nature is woven into everyday life here. Guests come for the waterfalls, hiking trails, scenic drives, and quiet mornings, and it’s rewarding to help them discover those moments—whether it’s pointing them toward Kaaterskill Falls, a peaceful walk along the creek, or a spot to watch the light change over the mountains. Hosting lets me share the simple joy of being surrounded by trees, fresh air, and wide skies.
