The 3 Dux is a beautiful old craftsman two-story home with three separate apartments. The upstair Papa Dux is a one bedroom with a deck that includes a fire pit and overlooks the beautiful foothills of Santa Barbara. It has a full kitchen, laundry and bath with shower. The ground floor Mama Dux is a very large studio with a king bed and a daybed that sleeps two. It has a full kitchen, laundry and bath with shower. It also has a deck and a large private patio. The Baby Dux is our small ground floor studio. It has a unique queen size couch bed that opens to a flat surface. You lay down a thick tempurpedic mattress covered in a duvet for extra comfort. All bedding is covered in duvets which serve as sheets. It has a kitchenette with a coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, heat inducting hot plate, small refrigerator and toaster. There's a shower and laundry.
My name is Debbie Garven. I'm a friend of the cousin of the owner who was managing the property for over 12 years. I have lived in Santa Barbara all my life. I am your Concierge.
Our neighborhood is commercial/residential. We are one block from State Street and four blocks up from the beach. Dune Coffee Roasters is up the street on Anacapa. Across the street on Anacapa is an REI and UCSB has purchased the residential units across the street. Across the street on Gutierre we have a Barber Shop, a Shoe Repair Shop and a Smoke Shop. Up the street on Gutierrez we have a Smart& Final and an Office Max store as well as ACE Hardware. Welcome to downtown Santa Barbara. Both streets are buzy since we are downtown and you can hear traffic noise and all our windows in the unit are either double or triple paned glass so the noise isolation is great. It is a classic home that has been cared for by Artists! We hope you feel like it's your home away from Home!
