My name is Brian Murphy and this is how "The Murphy" came to be. I am a city boy from south Florid, who many years ago married a country girl whose family was from West Virginia. I have been coming up to West Virginia for over 30 years to visit family and hunt. Many things in my life changed over the last 30 years, but I worked through them and with the help of my two boys (Justin and Ryan), life seemed to keep going for us. As my boys got older and became men, they always still wanted to come up to West Virginia to visit family and hunt.​ They persuaded me to start looking for land of our own to hunt on. This process took a while, but I finally found exactly what I was looking for, this was the first step into creating "The Murphy". I initially planned to build a small hunting cabin for my boys and I to stay at while at the property, but that soon turned into building a 7 bedroom, 4 ½ bath, 4 car garage home that I planned on living in fulltime. It was a big endeavor and move for me. I had never just picked up and moved away on my own and at my age most people are downsizing. I, of course, did the opposite!​ This structure has 3 bedrooms and 2 ½ baths on the main floor with a 4 car garage and wrap around deck. The basement is fully finished with 4 bedrooms, 2 half baths, 2 shower rooms with a full kitchen, family room, dining room and laundry room. I have a small table right off the kitchen for morning coffee.​ Each floor has a custom-built floor to ceiling fireplace and 86-inch Smart TV mounted on the wall above the fireplace. There is even video console gaming system for two people to enjoy with many of the games we all grew up with. It will sure to bring back memories.​ As an on-premise host to the property, I am available (within reason) to assist with anything you may need assistance with. I am here to make sure you have a stress-free vacation that you will remember for years to come.​
