Stay in style at this newly Renovated 2-Bedroom Farmhouse. Enjoy all the modern amenities of current day, as well as some unique features from the past, like the authentic 1950's refrigerator (in mint working condition) in the fully equipped kitchen. Located just minutes from Seneca Rocks, and alongside the new grazing area for the Renovated Barn Farm Animals, the quiet country road setting is an ideal place to escape into the mountains of West Virginia. The covered porch offers guests a place to relax outdoors, and there's a firepit in the back yard for late night campfires. When flowing, there is also river access on the property. Surrounded by woods and mountains, this beautiful spot is hard to beat!

I have been hosting guests at the Renovated Barn at Seneca Rocks for over a decade, and love sharing this unique space with people. My partner and I recently purchased the property next door, and renovated this charming old Farmhouse. This project has been a labor of love, and we think it shows! We hope guests will enjoy all our quirky touches and thoughtful details, inspired by the beautiful nature that surrounds the place. We have a small hobby farm next door as part of the Renovated Barn, with goats, chickens, ducks, peacocks, and a pig. We've expanded the animals' grazing area to extend over to the Farmhouse yard, so Farmhouse guests can enjoy watching and interacting with farm animals during their stay as well. We are also renovating the little Smokehouse on the property, which is located next to the Farmhouse. This building is close to the farmhouse, but will have a privacy fence so guests at both places will have their own space. We live in the house next door and are available when needed, but otherwise give guests complete privacy while staying.

The Renovated Farmhouse is located just minutes from Seneca Rocks, and within a 45 minute drive of other iconic West Virginia spots, such as Spruce Knob, Blackwater Falls, and the Dolly Sods. There are also caverns nearby (Smoke Hole Caverns & Seneca Caverns are each about 20 minutes away). The location is definitely suited for people looking to get outdoors. Hiking, rock climbing, fishing, and horsebackriding are just a few activities enjoyed by visitors. There is also a swimming hole at the base of Seneca Rocks for visitors during the hot summer months. In winter, Canaan Valley is just 20 minutes away where there is both cross country skiing and downhill skiing. Seneca Rocks is not a place for foodies! There are only a couple restaurants nearby- Yokum's Grill and the Front Porch Restaurant are right in Seneca Rocks, and the Gateway Restaurant is about 15 miles south of town. If you're willing to drive about 45 minutes, the towns of Davis and Thomas offer many choices of restaurant and shops, and make for a great day trip from the Farmhouse.
