The Scofield House was built in 1902 by Herbert and Augusta Scofield. Bert was the Mayor of Sturgeon Bay and operated the second largest hardware store in Wisconsin. The house was renovated in the mid 1980s and the woodwork in the house was restored to its' original grandeur. Each room has a luxurious bed, private bath and a comfortable place to sit and read a book or watch a movie. Karl and Janet are the current Caretakers of The Scofield House and are maintaining the beauty of the past while providing comforts of the present. They were called to The Scofield House by a love of Door County and old houses. They hope to provide guests with a pampered escape from their busy lives and enjoy meeting new people and sharing their experiences with them.

Historic home combining Victorian elegance with contemporary comfort located within walking distance to shopping and dining in downtown Sturgeon Bay. Guest rooms feature private bathrooms with whirlpools, fireplaces and wireless internet with cable TV and Netflix. A full home-cooked breakfast is served each day with accommodations for dietary needs. Open year-round with special rates for Quiet Season and whole house rentals.
