Visit a 1920 Stickley Home, all original woodwork and beautiful coffered ceilings. Original parkay floors. You will be located in the Quiet Corner also known as the Last Green Valley of Connecticut. A Typical New England location, you are close to Mystic, Groton, New London, Pomfret and Putnam. The Rhode Island border is 20 minutes away and in less than 2 hours, you can be in Boston, New York or Providence. A small town, you can enjoy the many parks, trails and back roads of New England. There are also numerous antique shops within a 30-mile radius. There is limited transportation; it is recommended you drive. Or just relax and enjoy the comfortable living room next to a crackling fire reading a book or having good conversation with your host. There is also an outdoor fireplace on the gazebo and a fire pit on the patio; weather permitting. This property is owners home and occupied by owner. You are renting a room. Any guests arriving after 10pm MUST have prior approval. Please note: There is a cat on the premises.
I am a military mom and an artist, working full time mostly from home. I love entertaining and meeting new people, but understand the need for privacy. I work on my house and yard when it's nice and travel when I can.
Near a small town, but quiet. There are lots of side roads for walks, biking or driving around the area.
