When Gavin & Steve took 6 months out from their work in England, they could never have dreamed of the lives they now live. In September 2013, they stumbled upon the area and fell in love with what would become their new home. Almost by accident they became owners of a beach front guest house. They started to build their new life in July 2014 and on November 7th 2014 they welcomed the first travellers into their home to help fund their new life - and Life's a Beach was born. Word spread fast and the number of people coming to share the dream grew rapidly. Of course the ride has been a little bumpy - don't say the word pandemic! - but we're now back and better than ever! Life's a Beach has seen many changes and we're sure that there will be many more but our values will never change. We still aim for every guest to have an unbeatably unique experience and we still find time to share that experience with them.

Life's a Beach is owned and run by Gavin, Steve and their family and was one of the first local homestays. It has been welcoming people with a chilled-out attitude and lust for life from all over the world and all walks of life since 2014. Guests can expect a warm welcome a laid-back style and a super friendly chilled atmosphere. Perched on a hill amongst the jungle and rocks overlooking a deserted beach it feels a world away from anywhere, especially the hustle and bustle of Vietnams cities. Rooms are simple but offer some of the comforts you are use to at home such as Wi-Fi, comfy beds, fluffy towels, hot showers, unlimited drinking water and everything you need to make your stay a great one whether that’s being a beach bum, having a romantic night on your balcony, immersing yourself in the local life or making new friends and joining the fun in the bar. Dotted amongst the trees you will find an option for every budget from a dorm, glamping style tents and rustic bamboo huts to air-conditioned beach front bungalows with balconies and stunning views. Days are super chilled spent swimming, sunbathing, or chilling in a hammock with an ice-cold beer or cocktail. If chilling is not your style no worries there are plenty of options including, motorbike rental, board games, boat trips, snorkeling, fishing, beach ball, pool competitions, bar games, big-screen movies, book exchange, cooking classes, kayaking and tours. Nights are centered around our bar where you will discover what Life’s a Beach is really about it’s made for people that like sharing experiences and having fun and has everything you would expect and more including nightly entertainment and promotions, communal meals such as bbq, Mexican and family style dinners and an ala-cart mix of local and foreign favorites available all day.
