Phong Nha River House is a wonderful family-owned and -operated homestay. The property sits along the river and boasts a small private beach, five rooms which overlook the river and the village, and large communal spaces with indoor and outdoor seating. The Phong Nha River House is run by Bom, a top chef of the Son Doong Expedition team, and his wife Huyen. While the owners do not speak a lot of English, they more than make up for it in friendliness and customer service!

Phong Nha River House is a homestay located alongside the Son River. It is run by a member of the Son Doong Expedition team member Bom and his wife Huyen.

Phong Nha River House is located directly along the Son River about 3km from the town center, with a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. You can see many activities taking place on the river - from dragon boats cruising up and down with tourists to villagers fishing and collecting river grass. Many of the surrounding neighborhood men work as porters and guide assistants for the Son Doong Cave Expedition, the world's largest cave. The owner of Phong Nha River House (PNRH) goes on several expeditions a month as the lead chef of the team. The town of Phong Nha is becoming more and more popular, with quite a hustle and bustle in the center of town. PNRH is a quiet retreat on the outskirts of town, where it's calmer, quieter, and where you can relax by the river with a beer in your hand and watch the herds of water buffalo as they make their way home each night.
