We have lived in Linden since 1975! Yes..hard to believe but true. We have been priviledged to raise our children in an area so close to nature with Delta Park on our doorstep! Ron & I are both avid readers and enjoy classical music. Ron Is very creative and his latest endeavour is building a model train to eventually take his grand daughters out for rides. We love caravanning and hiking, and as the saying goes... have van.. will travel! But at the same time - Home is where the heart is! And we are here to stay.

Cherry Tree Cottage is in LINDEN, a wonderful mix of rural country, suburban tranquility and urban convenience. Under 5 km from Rosebank, Joburg’s 3rd largest high-rise commercial, financial and shopping district, and only 7 km from Sandton Central, we are surrounded by green lung areas, have excellent neighbourhood restaurants and a vibrant suburban life with schools, churches and sports facilities. Local shopping centres with banks, Spar/PnP grocery stores, chemists and dry cleaners are within walking distance of Cherry Tree Cottage. LINDEN is an old-world haven of green tranquility. Its tree lined avenues make you forget that you are in a bustling metropolis and charm you back into the real luxuries of life: slow walks, neighbourly chats and accessible shops. Here one remembers the simple joy of sitting in a quiet garden or watching the clouds float by. Its go-slower pace is seductive!

Want to get a feel for some of the local history for Johannesburg, and Linden in particular.. this is it! Centrally located in one of Johannesburg's older suburbs, Linden, we have a great location and even better prices. We are within walking distance of some superb restaurants, Cresta shopping mall, a variety of antique stores, & a gym! Linden has become one of Joburg's trendiest places to be and we are within a two block walk of 23 restaurants & eateries nearby: viz- Piccolo, Gravity Cafe, Choo Choo Junction, the Van der Linden, the Brian Lara Rum eatery, Satori, Bikaner. El Jalapeno, Hashi fusion,TONIC are in Fourth Ave. PRON, and the Fat Zebra and the Cheese Factory are in Third Ave & 7th Street. The Argentinian Bakery and Whippet are early morning venues whilst Pacinos & Paputzis are lunch rendevous. Parkhurst and Greenside and Emmerentia, Melville and Rosebank,- the "Gourmet Mile of Jhb" and the Cresta Mall & Brightwater Common are all close by. There is a Spar on the far corner of our block and a Woolworths and Pick and Pay a few blocks further away. • Linden boasts a covered/heated swimming pool, & Emmerentia Dam & Delta Park Nature Reserve in walking distance
