The house is a stand alone house facing the mountains and overlooks the dam on the Drakensberg Sun Hotel. It is uniquely situated and close enough to the Hotel to use their facilities as well as to the various hiking paths, with visuals of the vultures coming into the vulture feeding station at the top of the mountain. Zebra roam freely as do blesbuck and wildebees and a host of smaller antelope. The house is fenced off but often the antelope can be seen eating the fine greenery in the garden in the early morning

My family and I have been coming to the Berg for many years and it is a delight and pleasure to share the wonders of the mountains which constantly change colour and hues depending on the day. The people of the valley are so amazing and helpful and there is a special warmth for visitors. There are so many wonderful hours of family life to create there.

There is so much to do around the area and many hiking trails to be explored. Close by is the Drakensberg Sun Hotel, Dragons Peak, Drakensberg Boys Choir (always a treat to see when they have a show). The Chocolate Factory, Thokosiza, the Falconry and many, many places to eat and explore local cuisine. The vulture feeding station at the top of Bergview is a wonderful sight to see and the Blue Grotto hiking trail is a real treat and the water so crystal clear. Not for the faint hearted there is the Canopy Tour as well as river rafting and quadbiking and many other activities nearby.
