While Comore House is a pet-friendly home, please take care to prevent your pets from sleeping on all beds and other furniture. All bedrooms are on the same level as the pool deck, with the upstairs level hosting the lounge, kitchen and dining room with a built-in braai (please bring your own timber/charcoal). All living areas, both upstairs and on the deck, enjoy the most beautiful views onto and down the canal and to the sea. For those guests with a boat, jetski, windsurfer, surfboard, canoe, paddle ski, etc. and/or a love for fishing, please bring them all! You have free and exclusive access to your own private canal jetty as well as plenty of lawn-space to enjoy it all. Free wifi, 24-hour security, flat-screen TV (with DSTV streaming), a fully equipped kitchen, and free off-street parking (for 5 vehicles) offer added appeal and peace of mind. The house offers bed linen, bath towels, beach towels and daily room service by our very own, kind and attentive Izzy. This has been our parents’ home which, for more than 10 years, has been the holiday playground for grandparents, children, 8 grandchildren and countless extended family and friends! St Francis Bay is a beautiful part of the Eastern Cape's picturesque coastline, only an hour from Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), and with the added advantage of canal living! The quaint little village of St Francis Bay is within walking distance of your Comore House, and offers a substantial Spar (grocery shop), smaller quaint and/or boutique shops and restaurants, and its own St Francis Brewery. For the sports enthusiasts, there is swimming, jetskiing and paddling in the canals, surfing at the mouth and seas, as well as water skiing in the Kromme River. St Francis Bay also offers safe neighborhoods to run and cycle (20, 50, 75 and100km tracks), as well as two golf courses viz. The Bay course and the renown St Francis Linx course (rated in the top 3 courses in South Africa!). Neighbouring Cape St Francis offers many hiking trails and is a popular surf spot for many. For the fishermen and -women among us, fishing charters are offered from St Francis Bay harbour, as well as the beautiful Kromme River for fishing, sailing, boating and kite-boarding enthusiasts. Other attractions in the area (just 30 minutes away) include the world-class surfing hotspot of Jeffrey’s Bay (including all the trendiest surf shops) and the Tsitsikamma National Park coastal reserve, well known for its indigenous forests, dramatic coastline and beautiful trail walks, as well as the Otter Trail.
