Crossroads Cottage is a historical home located within the centre of the village of Dullstroom. The village is located 2100 metres above sea level. Crossroads Cottage is located opposite the beautiful church building and square of the Reformed Church in Dullstroom. Rumour has it that Crossroads Cottage was one of the town’s historical commercial properties serving farmers who congregated with ox-wagons on the church square on weekends. Crossroads Cottage was extended into a comfortable home and since tastefully renovated and decorated to reflect the old and the new yet, with all modern amenities. Crossroads Cottage is perfect for any fly-fishing enthusiast or anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. Crossroads Cottage is not far from Dullstroom’s municipal fly-fishing dams where calls from the fish eagle can be heard.
Dullstroom is a charming small town nestled in the Mpumalanga Highlands; a mere 2 to 2.5 hours from Johannesburg and Pretoria. Dullstroom is a vibrant village offering renowned fly-fishing, mountain biking, horseback riding, clay pigeon shooting, walking trails, golf at Highland Gate Golf Estate and birding at the Dullstroom Bird of Prey and Rehabilitation Centre. Dullstroom is also home to craft brewery and one of South Africa’s top whisky bars. Crossroads Cottage also offers a convenient stop-over to South Africa’s world-renowned Kruger National Park. The village offers beautiful green mountainous vistas, rivers and dams and offers exceptional birding opportunities with cosy fireplaces and the occasional snow fall in winter.
