The location is central to all manner of entertainment, adventure sports and eateries. There are two chalet is well appointed with two double rooms en suite and a communal open plan kitchen/lounge.; and three double rooms en suite. Both chalets have well equipped kitchens. The respective decks with patio furniture overlook lush lawns and shrubs to Champagne Castle and Cathkin providing a spectacular view.
I have managed accommodation in Central Drakensberg, South Africa for eight years. I have had very positive reviews about my hosting. I live close by and am available to help the guest if needed. I share information about activities in the Champagne Valley and will assist in recommending great restaurants, adventure sports, hiking opportunities and times for the raptor shows and Drakensberg Boys Choir school concerts.
There is a plethora of adventure sports 1km from the accommodation, many hikes available in the mountains, a bird show and reptile center 3km from the chalet. The famous Drakensberg Boys Choir School is 1km from the Lodge A concert by these talented young gentleman, is a must. Several excellent massage salons, eateries and three upmarket lifestyle centers are all within 15km of the chalet. Hiking opportunities are available and there is a raptor and reptile center 3km up tarred road leading to the mountains.
