Thys and Hanlie live on an adjacent farm, Klipbanksrivier, during wintertime only. In summer they move up to the Roggeveld farm. Hanlie loves hiking and enjoys accompanying the guests on trails. She loves music and art and occasionally organized creative weekends on De Valle.

Vast open karoo space with unique semi-succulent vegetation. There are 7 waterfalls on the farm and many types of buck and wild life such as kudu, Oryx, Steenbuck, Red Hartebeest, etc The well-known Ouberg Pass with spectacular views of the Tankwa landscape is close by.
